Creamy Calabrian Butter Beans
It feels like saucy bean dishes are all the rage these days online, and for a good reason! Super hearty, comforting, and easy to whip up – these creamy butter beans make for a delicious holiday side dish. Leftovers are also perfect for topping with crispy fried eggs and a drizzle of hot sauce for the morning after holiday activities.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 8 sage leaves
- 2 cans (each 15 oz) butter beans
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 1 jar SAUZ Creamy Calabrian Vodka
- 1/3 cup crumbled goat cheese
- 1 baguette, warmed and torn for dipping
Instructions:
- Heat oil in large skillet set over medium heat. Add sage leaves and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until crispy. Remove from skillet and transfer to paper towel-lined plate.
- Add beans, onion, garlic, and chili flakes into skillet. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes; or until tender and fragrant.
- Add sauce and stir to combine. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, or until heated through and thickened.
- Transfer beans to serving dish and sprinkle goat cheese over top.
- Crumble crispy sage leaves over top and serve with baguette for dipping.
